Our Equipment
Cable Percussive
Our Drillers are BDA qualified to operate the Cable Percussive rig capable of SPT and U100 tests to depths of up to 50m below ground level. This type of drilling rig is commonly used on Greenfield or large open sites due to its size and manoeuvrability. It is an excellent piece of equipment for retrieving undisturbed samples and gaining SPT results to depths that cannot be achieved by smaller equipment.
Dando Terrier
The Terrier Rig is a very versatile drilling rig that operates on rubber tracks allowing it to be moved into position, sometimes over long distances, it comes self contained and can carry its own equipment, reducing labour times on site. The Terrier can give excellent SPT results to BS EN ISO 22476-3 2005 and its percussive sampling capabilities mean that it can be utilised in a number of ways. The Terrier can also utilise casing for when unstable ground is encountered. This type of equipment can be used in a Railway, Highway or Greenfield setting. As well as SPT results the Terrier can also utilise Dynamic Probe Super Heavy for sites where soil strength readings are needed to greater depths.
Geotool LMSR-VK
The Geotool LMSR-VK is smaller percussive rig with great limited access capabilities. Due to its light weight (125kg) and its folding mast, it can be manoeuvred into all kinds of locations, including rail and highway and hard to access residential plots. It gives Dynamic Probe Heavy results to BS EN ISO 22476-2 2005 and window sampling capabilities.
Geotool DPP
The Geotool Dynamic Probe Light is a very portable and robust piece of equipment, capable of being taken virtually anywhere, and giving Dynamic Probe Light results to BS EN ISO 22476-2 2005 that can regularly achieve 6-8m below ground level. This has been primarily used on rail locations with very limited access, as other equipment cannot safely get to the sites. This is a very time efficient test and can also be used to give an overall view of large sites quickly.
